I recognise the impact of climate change and want to do something about it. I have created a plan for Project Rent a Crockery. Here, we can eliminate the use of disposable cutlery, glasses, plates and bowls, which we use in birthday parties, religious gatherings and other events. We endanger marine life and cause immense harm to the ecological system by pouring tonnes of such waste in the landfills and oceans every year. This project is easily adoptable by any community and body. Unfortunately due to logistics it is a very localised initiative. Opt for reusable plates made of steel ( or any other material of permanent nature). Create a bank – call it rent a crockery and take the initiative to buy-maintain and encourage people to use items from that.

This can be supported by BYOB – Bring your own water- bottle, bring your own box to take the Prasadam and many such concepts. The idea is to create a conscious society. Do get in touch with me and I will help you set this up in your community.
